Balloon Fight is a stage in the Super Smash Bros. series, which first appeared in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and was later included in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Description[]
The stage is made out of sprites either directly taken from or based on NES Balloon Fight. In its normal form, it is randomly generated, with Clouds, Platforms, and Propellers randomly scattered throughout the stage. Also, the stage's color is randomly chosen from the four in the original game. Just like the original game, getting too close to the water will bring up the Balloon Fish, which will attempt to grab the player and drag them off-screen, causing a KO if they don't break free. Staying on the stage for a while will cause the Clouds to shoot out Sparks , also mimicking the original game. This stage also has wraparound on the left and right edges of the screen.
In the Omega version of the stage, the entire stage is just one large island extending far out of the water. In this version, all of the other hazards and objects are gone, as is the case with all of the Omega stages.
When the stage appeared again in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, it retained most of the original features, but had the addition of Stalactites that can be broken. The Omega version also changed to match the shape of the standard Final Destination stage. As with all other stages in this game, there was also the new Battlefield version which had three semi-solid platforms hovering above the main platform.

- While this is the first time that a Balloon Fight themed stage appeared in a Super Smash Bros. game, some of the elements had been seen in previous installments as cameos. For example, the Flipper was seen as a usable item and a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee, and the Balloon Fish was a hazard in the Summit stage in Brawl, where it would jump up to eat players who stayed in or near the water for too long.
- Both the Fish and Balloon Fighter spirit battles in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate take place on this stage, with the Balloon Fight Medley playing as the music.
