Pencilvania is the hometown of Alice, Jim, and Samm in the games Balloon Kid and Balloon Fight GB. It is the setting of both the first stage of single player, and of the Vs. Play mode.
Description[]
Pencilvania is one of the easiest and most iconic stages of the game Balloon Kid. The level begins at Alice's House, and finishes at the entrance to the Forest. There are few areas of open water, but the Floppy Fish appears in this stage. In the background, there are various tall buildings, based off of pencils, erasers, and matchsticks. As this is stage 1, there is no boss. It is possible to beat this stage without flying at all by using enemies as platforms.
Trivia[]
- The beginning of this stage, Alice's House, can be seen in the opening cutscene.
- The name of the level is a pun on "Pennsylvania" spelled as "Pencil", because of the pencil-shaped buildings.
- According to the game's manual, it states that "balloon fights are very popular" in this town.
- At the point where the player is given a Heart, in theory a player could continuously fall into the water and re-collect the Heart to gain as many points as they wanted.
