"Forest" is the second stage of Balloon Kid and Balloon Fight GB.
Description[]
The Forest is filled with bug enemies, mostly Buzzy Bees and Dragonflies. The ceiling is formed by the canopy of the trees in the background. There is not much water, as there is plenty of solid ground. About three quarters into the level, there is a Bonus Stage Game Boy. Halfway through, there is also a Heart which can only be accessed by dropping your Balloons, and it is guarded by Alligators which will instantly kill you, similar to the Wonka The Walruses in Northern Sea. There are some ceiling spikes right before the boss fight, though they are small and easy to avoid. During the boss fight, you are given two small platforms on both sides of Wacka Wacka Wolf, who is on a lower larger platform.
Trivia[]
- Near the boss area, there are silhouettes of more wolves in the background.
- This stage can be beaten without flying at all, by instead jumping on top of the enemies as platforms to cross gaps. This is mentioned in the game's manual.
- According to the world map seen in Balloon Fight GB, this forest is on a peninsula.
